• Joined Quaker BioVentures as a Senior Associate in September 2008
• Previously: Assistant Director of Business Development for the Stem Cell Internal Ventures Program at J&J. Held responsibilities for therapeutic area strategy planning and implementation and managed life science alliances in the US, Europe and Asia. Successfully led pre-clinical development for an ophthalmology indication through IND enablement into clinical trials. Created a neural tissue engineering program for the Center for Biomaterials and Advanced Technologies at J&J. Completed postdoctoral fellowships at the Scripps Research Institute and at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. Therapeutic area expertise in cardiovascular, diabetes and neurological diseases.

• Education: Ph.D in Biochemical Pharmacology and an MSc in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland UK and a BSc in Applied Biology from Nottingham Trent University, UK.
